Disclaimer

This page sets out what you can reasonably expect from our products and from this website: how our jewelry behaves in daily wear, what plating does over time, how to wear a piece safely, and where the limits of our responsibility lie. It is written to be read before you buy rather than after something has gone wrong.

Nothing on this page limits or excludes the rights the law gives you as a consumer. Where anything here and your statutory rights differ, your statutory rights apply. Section 10 sets out what we are responsible for, and our Terms of Service and Return and Refund Policy contain the full position.

1. Materials and finish

Feetz & Co. jewelry is stainless steel with gold or silver plating. The material of each individual piece is stated in the details on its own product page, and that is the description your purchase is made on.

Our pieces are finished by hand, so small variations between individual items are normal and are not a fault. Measurements are given to the nearest millimetre and may vary slightly from piece to piece.

2. Plating and how it wears

Plating is a surface layer. On any plated jewelry, from any brand, that layer wears thin over time. How quickly depends entirely on how a piece is worn: water, sweat, perfume, hairspray, sunscreen, lotion and cleaning products all speed it up, and jewelry worn on the foot meets far more friction than jewelry worn on the wrist or the neck.

Gradual fading or thinning of plating through normal wear is a characteristic of the material, not a defect. It is not covered by our 12-month defect cover, and we say so plainly here rather than leaving you to discover it later.

Plating that flakes, blisters or discolours within days of first wear is a different matter, and we treat it as a defect. If you are not sure which of the two you are looking at, send us a photograph at hello@feetzdesigns.com and we will tell you honestly.

Our jewelry care guide explains how to get the longest life out of a plated piece.

3. Water and everyday wear

Our pieces are made for daily life. Handwashing, light splashes, rain and a brief shower will not damage them.

To get the longest life out of the plating, take your piece off before extended swimming, whether in a chlorinated pool or in salt water, and keep it away from direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotion, sunscreen and household cleaning products. Put your jewelry on last, once everything else has dried.

Accelerated plating wear caused by prolonged exposure to chlorine, salt water or chemicals is not a manufacturing defect, and it is not covered by the 12-month cover described in section 6.

4. Skin sensitivity

Our pieces are made to be worn every day and are generally well tolerated, but no metal suits absolutely everyone, and an individual reaction is always possible. If you know that you react to a particular metal, please check the material listed on the product page before you order.

If you do experience irritation, stop wearing the piece. If the irritation persists, worsens, or the skin breaks, speak to a doctor or pharmacist. Nothing on this website is medical advice, and our customer service team cannot give any.

Then tell us. An unworn item can be returned in the usual way under our Return and Refund Policy, and an item that causes a reaction because it is not made of the material we described is a faulty item, which we will refund in full. We would rather hear about it than not.

5. Wearing your jewelry safely

Foot jewelry sits against parts of the body that swell over the course of a day, particularly in heat, after exercise, and during travel or pregnancy.

  • An anklet or toe ring should sit comfortably, with room to move. Nothing you wear should leave a mark, restrict circulation, or feel tight.
  • If a piece becomes tight, remove it. Do not force a fixed bangle or a non-adjustable toe ring over a swollen foot or toe.
  • Take chain anklets off before sport, and before sleeping if you have a piece with a fine chain, since chains can catch and stretch.
  • Our jewelry is not a toy and is not intended for children. Chains, charms and small rings are a choking hazard for young children; please keep them out of reach.
  • Our jewelry is decorative. It has no therapeutic, medical or wellness function, and we make no such claims for it.

6. Our 12-month defect cover

Beyond the 30-day return window we cover manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery. That includes clasps that fail in normal use, links or settings that come apart, and stones that fall out of their setting without impact. Contact us with photographs and we will replace the item, or refund it if we can no longer supply it.

The cover does not extend to normal wear, accidental damage, plating that fades over time, or items that have been altered, resized or repaired by someone other than us. It sits on top of your statutory rights and does not replace them.

7. Photography, colour and screens

Our product images are styled and lit to show a piece at its best, and some are shown on models to give a sense of scale and proportion. Colour and finish can look different on your screen depending on your device and its settings, so a small variation in shade between an image and the item you receive is normal and is not a defect.

Where an image shows more than one piece worn together, or a piece styled as part of a stack, only the item named on the product page is included in the price. Barefoot sandals are sold individually, one per foot, and this is stated on each of those product pages.

8. Information on this website

We keep this website as accurate and current as we can, but a page may occasionally show an incorrect price, description, delivery estimate or availability. We may correct such errors at any time and, where an order was placed on the basis of an obvious error, cancel it and refund you in full before dispatch. We will always contact you first.

Delivery times shown on this site are estimates based on what we actually see, not guarantees. Our Shipping Policy explains what affects them and what happens if a parcel is delayed or lost.

Any general information published here about customs, import charges or consumer law is provided in good faith for guidance and is not legal or tax advice. Those rules change, and they differ by country and by individual circumstance.

9. Third-party websites and content

This website links to social media profiles and occasionally to other sites. We check external links when we add them, but we have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for it. Following an external link means leaving feetzdesigns.com, and the terms and privacy policy of the site you land on apply from that point.

Where we publish customer reviews, photographs or other content submitted to us, the views expressed are those of the person who wrote them and not ours.

10. What we are responsible for

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking our contract with you or failing to use reasonable care. Where a piece is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have a full set of remedies under our Return and Refund Policy and under the law.

We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, for business losses, or for delays and failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing on this page limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for defective products under applicable product liability law, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. In particular, nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Canadian provincial consumer protection legislation, or applicable United States federal and state consumer law.

Section 21 of our Terms of Service sets out the full position.
